Russian Economic Week in Vietnam – A Marathon of Knowledge” is expected to further promote cooperation in training and scientific research between the two countries.
From April 22-25, 2025, the Banking Academy, in coordination with member universities of the Russian-Vietnamese Economic University Consortium, is organizing the “Russian Economic Week in Vietnam – A Marathon of Knowledge.”
This is a special academic event focusing on economics, banking, and education between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
In her opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Hoang Anh, Vice President of the Banking Academy, emphasized that in the context of the growing bilateral relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation, the “Russian Economic Week in Vietnam” will be a significant event in strengthening multilateral cooperation, bringing many practical benefits to students, scientists, and member universities of the Russian-Vietnamese Economic University Consortium.

The Russian-Vietnamese Economic University Consortium was established in November 2024, comprising 6 leading economic universities from Russia and 5 leading economic universities from Vietnam.
The Consortium aims to build a sustainable cooperative relationship, coordinate research on potential projects, and promote high-quality training programs among the universities of the two nations.
Additionally, it seeks to enhance bilateral cooperation among universities, creating a foundation for the development and innovation of training programs, and providing opportunities for academic exchange and interaction, thereby strengthening professional and cultural understanding among students and lecturers.
The week will cover important topics such as career opportunities in the economic and banking sectors in Russia and Vietnam, and the role of universities in regional industrial development.

At the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department, Ministry of Education and Training, emphasized that the education and training cooperation between Vietnam and Russia is currently developing well, comprehensively, and effectively.
The Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department assessed the event as a significant and meaningful milestone for the network of Vietnamese-Russian economic universities. She also expressed confidence that after this event, the network will grow stronger and develop in both the scale and depth of its activities, contributing to the promotion of effective cooperation among its members.
Mr. Vladimir Murashkin, Director of the Russian Centre for Science and Culture, also shared that the “Marathon of Knowledge” event would be a rare opportunity for participants to interact with experts, evaluate career development prospects, and be inspired with new ideas.
